What a day on Wilson Lake... Best 5 went 26lbs. We landed a 7.5lb largemouth and 6lb even smallmouth. These big mixed bags are a staple of Wilson Lake. We caught our fishing using Rapala crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Storm Swimbaits in 5 inch chartreuse shad. It was a windy blustery day and it had the big fish turned on. Fish are feeding up heavily for the pre-spawn. Popular areas for Wilson are the tail-race, town creek, and shoals creek. Focus on points and vertical banks. Big smallmouth are really starting to get ready for the upcoming spawn in March. Looking forward to some great days with clients.
Give me a call. Lets go fishing!
