Wheeler has been a lot of fun lately catching some great largemouth on topwater frogs. Fish are moving up to spawn as well as in post spawn, and both are willing to eat ol' kermy... It is a blast! Fished on Easter for an hour with my family, and fished a couple hours this afternoon on Wheeler catching around 10 fish each outing. Each trip we have caught a TOAD! One was 5lbs and the other was a little over 6lbs! The funny thing is the bigger ones are just sucking the frog in quietly. Spotted bass are eating shaky heads, spinnerbaits, and jigs dragged slowly.
