This report is for the trap tournament through this past weekends first Choo Choo BFL. We managed to cut a check in the trap tournament with 14lbs, and I was able to get a good finish in the first BFL sitting in 15th with 16.10. I had one opportunity that would have given me around 18lbs on the day, but hey that's fishing!

The fish are definitely on the move right now from what I saw this weekend. I am focusing on grass lines in 1-8 Foot Of Water. If the water has some color to it RED is the way to go. If it is clear or sunny throw your shad pattern baits or CHROME. Tightline football jigs are starting to put fish in the boat. I landed my big fish in the BFL (Right side of Picture) on a 1/2 Muscle Crawler Guntersville Special jig. My coangler caught his big fish on a True Bass Swimbait and I caught my second big fish on a True Bass Swimbait in 4.5 on a new color called True Blue available on www.trueswimbaits.com. I had several other co-anglers and anglers come up to me at the meeting saying that they were catching fish on the True Bass Swimbaits! Great to hear.

With this warm rain coming in today and the warm up over the next two weeks... Guntersville should really explode with some big catches. There was an 11lb bass weighed in this weekend.

I recently had a few clients reschedule trips to later in March due to extenuating circumstances, so I have had some days become available over the couple weeks. Mention this report and receive a special for this week (2/16-2/21) book an 8 Hour trip for $250. For NEXT week (2/22-2/29) receive a rate of $275 for an 8 hour Guntersville trip! Ending 2/29/2016. Call and book today. I have the 16th-19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th.
