All I can say is WOW... Big fish weighed 7.42 today. Several 4 & 5lb smallmouth. It was a day to remember! The big largemouth hit like a tank!
Pickwick smallmouth are chomping and it is a blast catching them. When they hit your bait they "sting" it they hit it so hard... Big largemouth have been coming out to play as well. I have been catching a lot of fish on crankbaits, Tightline jigs, jerkbaits, and swimbaits fished in the current. The water level changes drastically day by day on Pickwick's upper end throughout the day. Be careful if you are fishing up there!
I expect more of the same through December and January. Give me a call for some awesome smallmouth fishing! Big largemouth are biting every now and then too!
