Started out today extremely FOGGY! We focused on Mid Lake areas today, and we were really keying in on the shad spawn this morning! The topwater bite lasted a while due to the fog hanging around for a while :) They are vicious when they strike! We had an absolutely awesome day catching a little over 20 fish with big fish around 5lbs and some more 4lbers throughout the day. We lost an absolute GIANT at one of our last spots. It would have been the young ladies personal best!! When it jumped it looked like it still had a pre spawn gut... The fishing is improving everyday I go out!
I am still catching frog fish so if you are interested in a frog trip let me know! We managed 10+ blowups in an hour today I have days available this week and next.
We are catching fish focusing on main channel drops from 7-25FOW. We caught fish ranging from shaky heads, Tightline jigs, spooks, and big worms, frogs, and Rapala DT20s. Stay patient out there and you will be successful!
