Lake Guntersville Heating Up!
Water Temperature: 61
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet
NOW we are at this past Tuesday, and the morning bite was almost non exhistent for the first hour. We made an adjustment to fishing in 2 FOW with traps, and started putting fish in the boat! Some nice quality too! Got on a flurry and got a good picture around 9, and then we let them go and made another adjustment to throwing a True Bass Swimbait deeper.
Then we got on another roll after lunch fishing 10-15 FOW with the NEW 5.5 True Bass Swimbait on a 3/4 ounce and 1/2 ounce True Lock Head. Caught around 25 fish total with close to 20lbs for our best 5. Whats awesome about the true lock head is you don't need super glue with the True Bass Swimbaits!
Wednesday I went to Pickwick to jack some smallies and saltwater stripe, and on Thursday we went to Wilson and did well :)
FRIDAY, I got back to Guntersville and had a full day trip. Two pictures on the RIGHT. Main OBJ was to find some new areas and check some areas. We definitely were successful. We didn't catch number but we had quality. Would have had 20+ lbs. Let a few off next to the boat and a few swim off due to boat pressure in the areas. Looking forward to fishing all this week on Guntersville. Warming temps, dirty water, and current should have them chewing. :-)
I have a few days the first couple weeks of April, and a little more availability the 3rd and 4th week. Give me a call and lets go fishing! I offer electronics trips too. Whether you want to learn a new technique or just catch some fish we will do whatever we can to accomplish your goals!
Lets go fishing.
