Guntesville Fishing Report - March 29, 2016

Guntersville Fishing March

Water Temperature: 63
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Whew! What a crazy rush spring brought in. Especially the pollen! I would say we are a little ahead of schedule with spawning fish than last year, but not by much! The water temps have stabilized from the warm spell on the lake. Main lake was around 59 with temps in 70s in some creeks. Several fish to be caught shallow as well as deep. Fish are officially in all 3 stages of pre, spawn, and post spawn.

We have had great success with the True Bass Swimbait in Little Head 4.5 in R2D2, cream pie, and true blue. Goosepond Bait and Tackle is fully stocked as well as Waterfront and Kellers! We have a new head coming out too. The "True Lock" Swimbait head will be available for sale soon. Can't wait to get on the water tomorrow to help a client for the big bass splash. We have been bouncing back and forth between Guntersville and Pickwick for smallmouth, and the smallies have been chewing too!

Other baits to try are light texas rigs shallow, Arashi top walker in blue gill, and Terminator frogs! Looking forward to the Rapala Crankbait bite!

Lets go fishing!
