Guntersville Tournament Practice - Lowrance HDS 12

Captain Ryan Salzman (256) 508-5260

Got some much needed practice checking several areas across Lake Guntersville for my upcoming tournaments. I have the Foodland Bass Tournament, FLW BFL Choo Choo Division, and the Alabama Bass Trail over the next 3 weeks. I'm super excited! Several big groups of BIG fish located. Of course this is with no one around, and no pressure. I got to do some HAWG snatching today. Hands down best bait was the True Bass Swimbait Perfect Head 5.5 in True Blue on a 3/4 ounce True Lock Head. They were smoking it... Had well over 25lbs today.

This is my favorite time of year to find big schools of fish. I use my Lowrance Gen 3 12 inch units paired with the 3D structure scan module to get offshore and find them. It takes hours and days sometimes, but if you put in the work you will find them! I offer electronics classes on how to target and find bass with your unit. I can teach on any electronics platform. The biggest thing is to recognize what you are seeing and to know when to get excited. Too many people try to Target minute things they think are fish. There are times to target grass clumps, stumps, and schools of fish. If you want to learn more give me a call! We can do the class during any time of the year. For schools of fish it is best from May through October!

I am very excited about this upcoming summer tournament season!
