Guntersville Swimbait Fishing - April 20, 2015

Guntersville Bass Fishing Spring

Water Temperature: 67
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Guntersville has been fishing amazing at times this year! Fish are using transition areas to make their way in and out of spawning areas. Looking forward to the beginning of may. I believe there is already a small shad spawn starting to take place. You can see the shad going crazy around grass, and in turn the bass eat the Shad :)

All of these fish were caught on True Bass LH4.5 R2D2 and 99 Problems. We threw them everywhere from 3foot to 20 foot. Like I said there are fish in all three stages right now. As we head into may look for the fish to start really piling up in post spawn areas. Hot techniques will be a 1.5 squarebill, topwater, swimbaits, and dragging soft plastics.

The grass is doing GREAT if you were wondering. There are many areas where the milfoil is close to topping out. Should be an exciting post spawn period.

Lets go fishing!
