Guntersville Lake late April - April 19, 2014

Water Temperature: 62
Water Clarity: Not reported

With a cool breeze in the morning it started off a little slow for us, but as the temps warmed so did the fishing. We are still fishing slow up shallow dragging soft plastics. However it seems that there are a large number of fish that are somewhere in between shallow and deep right now. This last cold front scattered some shallow fish. Points and deeper ditches running to spawning areas should be good. I did catch the big fish of the day close to 7lbs on a jig shallow. There will be fish the trickle in to spawn through May this year due to the sporadic weather we have had this spring. Looking forward to the upcoming topwater bite with this warmup next week! Lets go fishing!

Tightlines.
