Guntersville Lake Fishing Report - MAY 2015

Guntersville Bass Fishing

Water Temperature: 76
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Lets just say this report is for a good chunk of May! LOL...I seem to be terrible at finding the time to upload these reports when I am slam booked almost every day of the month. Fishing on Guntersville has been pretty fantastic for the month of May. Fish started moving out deep, as they should, as soon as the water temps started rising. We were catching fish on True bass swimbaits, Tight line Jigs, and soft plastics every day when we had the heat wave at the beginning of the month.

Around mid month we started getting into the wet rainy pattern with cooler temps which dropped the water around 10 degrees. That halted the speedy transition to the deep water haunts, and a lot of fish became scattered throughout the lake. However we have got on a wicked spinnerbait and chatterbait bite. The cooler weather had them SLAMMING it! Shad are spawning in some areas of the lake so look for the topwater bite to pick up as the temps warm over the next couple weeks.

I will post a part two of this tomorrow. Hope everyone had a GREAT memorial day weekend. Thank you to all who have sacrificed and served this great country. You will be forever remembered. HOOAH!
