Water Temperature: 82
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet
The water temperature is rising and the fish are biting! This report is a summary of this past week of the 3 days I spent on Guntersville. The other two I was on Pickwick Lake doing Electronic Trips!
Each day we had bouts of rain and sun. We caught over 40 fish one day, around 30 fish one day, and 20 on a 4 hour trip. The fish have been feeding pretty heavily on shad. Every other fish you catch has a tail out of its gullet. We have been using true bass 4.5 swimbaits on scrounger heads, and they are wearing it out... It is a really awesome bite. They thump it HARD!
The big plastic bite is going on around the lake as well. Any 10+ inch worm will work. I like to peg it with a 3/16 ounce weight. There are plenty of offshore schools right now, however, the timing to get them to bite can be tricky. Especially if there is zero current.
We have just been having a great time on the water catching great numbers with the occasional big fish. They are fighting hard right now and we have lost quite a few toads at the boat. Thats why they call it fishing! I have June 12, 15-17, 22-25, 29, & 30 open as of right now with some of those dates pending.
Give me a call and lets go fishin'!
