Crankin up Guntersville Bass - January 25, 2015

January Guntersville Fishing

Water Temperature: 47
Water Clarity: 1 foot

This report is for the last week. Guntersville has been heating up with the recent heat wave that came through this past week. Some water temps made it up to 51 in spots. That changed with this cold front that just moved in Friday. Water has cooled back off to 45 degrees. 24lbs won the local pot luck at Goosepond Tackle and Grill.

I had the pleasure of getting some fishing in with a friend, and Coosa River Guide, "Relentless Guide Service." Ask for Josh Gibson! We have been catching fish on rattle traps, alabama rigs, Rapala DT10s and Storm wiggle warts. Crankbaits diving from 6-10 foot have been working across the lake. Crawfish patterns are the predominant color patterns for catching fish. The rattle trap tournament will be a good one on FEB 8th. I expect some big bags to be brought in. Had a friend of Josh's catch his personal best of 7.69 featured on the right.

Fish will be feeding more heavily to get ready for the spawn with these up and coming warm fronts.

Running a Spring Fever Trip rate of $275 for the month of FEB. I still have days available for February, so give us a call.

Lets go fishin!
